Brian F. Lomax, CFA®, CAIA
Brian Lomax joined 10-15 Associates in June 2018 as a Portfolio Manager. Brian aims to create and manage portfolios to meet client’s needs. Equity and fixed income portfolios are prudently diversified and focused on quality investments primarily in large cap stocks and investment grade bonds.
Brian has been in the asset management business since 1992. Prior to 10-15 Brian was at Picton Mahoney Asset Management where he successfully launched and ran a US equity hedge fund that outperformed peers. He also was a member of the investment strategy committee setting asset allocation for the firm’s multi-strategy fund. Before PMAM he was a portfolio manager of global value equities at AllianceBernstein where he authored investment strategy pieces and engaged institutional clients. His whitepaper “The Great Cash Giveback” detailing the opportunity in rising corporate dividends and stock buybacks was published in the “Trust & Estates Journal”. Brian was previously at SEB Asset Management where he co-managed both large cap and mid cap US mutual funds that outperformed their indices. Prior to SEB Brian was a manager/analyst at Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan Investment Management where he successfully managed a US portfolio and he was an analyst at Allstate Investment Management Company of Canada. He has also testified as a research expert in FINRA arbitration cases. Brian earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from Queen’s University in Canada. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
Brian is married with twin daughters, enjoys tennis and is the treasurer for his girl’s BSA troop.
